Updating our deck for Spring 🌸

Warmer weather has finally arrived so I’ve spent the last couple days updating and getting the deck ready for spring and summer with some new furniture and decor. ☀️

My husband and I spent a few hours finally painting the deck before decorating and that alone made everything look a million times better. Here’s what the deck looked like last spring. So plain!

We bought this amazing patio set the year before last but the deck would be a bit too crowded if we had all the pieces up here. (I can’t wait for the trees to fill in😖)

The full set comes with a sofa, two chairs, and two side tables. So we only have the sofa and a side table on the deck, and the chairs we have set up on our front porch. The chairs actually spin and rock so they need a little extra room around them.
You can actually buy the pieces from the set somewhat separately now.

We had the sofa pretty centered before so I slid it over some and put my new egg chair in the corner, I also love that it feels a little more private when I’m sitting in it. I wanted something I could lounge in with my laptop or a book, and it’s so perfect for that. There’s also a kids version of this chair!

I picked up a couple of these lanterns because how could I not? I got one in the 18 inch size and one in the 15 inch size. I believe there is also one size bigger. They are battery operated and have a timer option.

I also grabbed one of these hyacinth planters, I feel like it matches both the sofa and the chair nicely. This also comes in a bunch of different sizes and yes my little tree looks really sad but it has since been repotted and looks a lot better 😅

I have this rug out here that I bought from amazon last year and it has actually held up really nicely all through the humid summer and rainy days for how affordable it was.

We also hung these solar lights up last spring and they are such a nice touch.
The solar panel just clipped right on to the gutter and the lights come on by them selves every night. They aren’t super bright but they give off a nice soft warm glow.

As for the side table, I just added a cute faux plant, a table top torch and a candle.

I feel like I may eventually add a pouf of ottoman near the egg chair and possibly a small circular rug under it so everything just looks complete. But for now I’m just super excited to have my morning coffees outside again. 😌
